Mary is widely known for originating the role of “Miss Shingle” in the First National Broadway tour of the Tony Award winning Best Musical, A GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER”, and for originating “The Bird Woman” in the First National Broadway tour of MARY POPPINS. She is also known for being “killed” by John Malkovich in the feature film IN THE LINE OF FIRE.



Mary VanArsdel is a funny, highly inventive, beautifully trained Actor with the rarest of gifts: the ability to find the humor in a character without eschewing subtlety. Plus she sings like a dream and is a hoot to work with.
